St. Louis Cardinals Rumors: Jordan Montgomery Linked to Division Rival

The Cincinnati Reds currently have a 54-46 record and are in a position to be buyers at the 2023 MLB Trade Deadline. They have been on the hunt for a starting pitcher, and one specific player who is on their radar is Jordan Montgomery.

The St. Louis Cardinals are expected to be sellers at the deadline, and Montgomery has been in the rumor mill because of it. It is understandable, as he will be an unrestricted free agent at season's end, and the Cardinals are out of the playoff race. Thus, he is a clear rental candidate.
