Report: Toronto Blue Jays Place Star Reliever On Injured List

As we approach the trade deadline, there are many rumours floating around about teams buying and selling, with one of the biggest buyers potentially being the Toronto Blue Jays, but unfortunately, on Saturday, they revealed some terrible news.

After another fantastic start to the season, the team have officially placed All-Star closer Jordan Romano on the 15-day Injured List with lower back inflammation, and with the AL East being so tight, they'll need him back as soon as possible.

In 44 appearances this season, Romano leads the league in saves with 28, while posting a 2.79 ERA through 42.0 innings of work while striking out 51 hitters, and if they want to make a decent run this season, they will need him healthy and at his very best.
