MLB Rumors: Texas Rangers Linked To Veteran Starter

 

The Texas Rangers have been one of the best teams in all of baseball through the first half of 2023, and with a slight lead in the AL West over the Houston Astros, they will be looking to add some more pieces at the deadline in order to make a big run.

With the season ending injury to their biggest star in Jacob DeGrom, it would make sense then if the team are looking to land a top-tier starting pitcher, and while Lance Lynn may no longer be at the peak of his powers, he could be a major help to the Rangers.

They have now officially been linked to Lynn ahead of the trade deadline, but given their assets, they should be looking to land a top tier starter like Shane Bieber, Lucas Giolito or Marcus Stroman, but if that doesn't happen, Lynn, with his 5-8 record and 6.03 ERA could be a solid option.
