Los Angeles Dodgers & Boston Red Sox Complete Trade

The Los Angeles Dodgers are acquiring Enrique Hernandez from the Boston Red Sox, per Ken Rosenthal and Fabian Ardaya.

Hernandez is certainly a familiar face to the Dodgers, as he spent the 2015-2020 seasons with Los Angeles. Now, he is joining them once again as they prepare for the postseason.

Hernandez has struggled noticeably for the Red Sox this season, thus making this trade not too surprising. In 86 games on the campaign, the utility player has six home runs, 31 RBIs, and a .222 batting average. He will be aiming to turn things back around with the Dodgers from here.

Hernandez will serve as a solid depth player for the Dodgers. Due to his versatility, he can sub in for multiple positions, and that will make having him back nice for Los Angeles.

Alas, we will need to wait and see how well Hernandez performs for the Dodgers during his second stint with the club from here.
