Washington Nationals Rumors: Reliever Garnering Trade Interest

The Washington Nationals are gearing up to be sellers this deadline season, and teams are already expressing interest in some of their players because of it. One specific reliever who is generating plenty of buzz around the league right now is Carl Edwards Jr.

Edwards Jr. has been a solid part of the Nationals' bullpen this season, so it makes sense that there are clubs looking to bring him in. In 26 appearances on the campaign thus far, he has a 3.26 ERA. Overall, he has been dependable when called upon, so we should continue to hear his name floating around the rumor mill as we inch closer to the deadline.

Playoff teams are always looking to add to their pitching depth, and Edwards Jr. would provide one with just that. Some clubs to pay attention to for his services include the New York Yankees, Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, and Pittsburgh Pirates.

It will be intriguing to see what happens with Edwards Jr. from here, but it seems more likely than not that he will be dealt.
