Tampa Bay Rays Place Slugging Infielder On Injured List

The Tampa Bay Rays are once again off to an incredible start in 2023, pushing their way to first place in the American League East two months into the season with a 43-19 record, but now, they've had to place a key piece of their lineup on the Injured List.

That piece would be infielder Brandon Lowe, who has struggled mightily in recent times, hitting just .157 over his past 114 plate appearances, but overall, he's been one of their most important players over the past few seasons, with three young players ready to step up and take his place.

In his six seasons with the Rays, Lowe has amassed a .244 batting average with 94 home runs and 266 RBI over 445 games, and with World Series aspirations once again in 2023, this is a team that need to be as healthy as possible if they are to finally go on a deep playoff run, so they'll hope to get him back very soon.
