Seattle Mariners Rumors: White Sox All-Star Becoming Trade Target

The Chicago White Sox have underperformed immensely this season, and they should be busy at the deadline because of it. Tim Anderson has emerged as a trade candidate because of this, and the Seattle Mariners are reportedly interested in acquiring the star.

The Mariners have been looking to improve at the shortstop position, and adding Anderson would allow that to come to fruition. Furthermore, the Mariners simply could use a major addition right now, as they are currently fighting to get back into the playoff picture.

Perhaps a change of scenery is exactly what Anderson needs as well, as he has struggled a bit for his standards in 2023. In 42 games, he has zero home runs, 10 RBIs, and a .273 batting average.

We will need to wait and see if the Mariners make a major push for Anderson as we inch closer to the deadline. On paper, there is a match here, but time will tell if it does, in fact, occur from here.
