Report: Colorado Rockies Land Veteran Catcher

The Colorado Rockies are once again off to a slow start in 2023, but with hopes of turning it around and potentially competing for a National League Wild Card spot, they've now landed one of the hottest free agents in baseball.

That would be veteran catcher Jorge Alfaro, who began the season with the Boston Red Sox in Triple-A, hitting a whopping .320 with 6 home runs and 30 RBI's, and has now been picked up by the Rockies with the hopes he can make an impact at the major league level.

Alfaro last played at the MLB level with the San Diego Padres, hitting .246 with 7 home runs and 40 RBI, but when he gets called up in 2023, he'll be playing in one of the most hitter friendly parks in baseball, meaning he'll have a chance to make a big impact and rejuvinate his career.
