MLB Rumors: Kansas City Royals Have No Intention Of Shopping Franchise Legend

After a great two month start to the 2023 MLB season, trade season is almost upon us, and as such, the rumour mill has hit overdrive in recent times, including speculation that the Kansas City Royals could trade franchise legend Salvador Perez.

Now, Royals GM JJ Picollo has confirmed that the team have no intention of shopping Perez, but confirmed that teams have come calling given his incredible value and experience at the big league level, as it appears he wants to be a one-team player.

In 12 years with Kansas City, Perez has played in 1314 games, hitting .268 with 237 home runs and 769 RBI's, all while being a fantastic defensive catcher and a leader, being rewarded with 7 All-Star game appearances and leading the team to the 2015 World Series, which makes it understandable why the team don't want to move on from him.
