Cleveland Guardians DFA Struggling Starting Pitcher

The Cleveland Guardians have been off to a slow start in 2023, with a 27-32 record through their first 59 games, but now, they're on the cusp of getting one of the games most promising pitchers in Triston McKenzie back on the mound, but that of course means someone is losing their roster spot.

Unfortunately, after five seasons with the Cleveland squad, the player to be officially DFA'd is Zach Plesac, who is off to a very poor start in 2023, with an ERA of 7.59 in 21.1 innings over his five starts on the season.

Over his career, Plesac has a 26-27 record with a 4.20 ERA, but at 28-years of age, he's still got plenty of time to make an impact at the big league level, so don't be surprised at all if there's many teams lined up to land him after this move from Cleveland.
