Cincinnati Reds Top Prospect Officially Makes MLB Debut

The Cincinnati Reds have been a team on the rebuild for a number of years now, with many seeing this as a franchise that has a very bright future, and now, that future comes to the MLB, as the team are now officially calling up top prospect (No. 4 in all of baseball) Elly De La Cruz.

In 2023, Cruz has played in 38 games, totalling 186 plate appearances, and over that time, he's hit .298 with 12 home runs, 38 RBI's and 11 stolen bases, and with his versatile defence, he has a chance to become a major part of the Reds organization going forward.

In his debut on Tuesday night, De La Cruz began his career hot, as he has walked twice, hit a double and scored a run thus far against the Los Angeles Dodgers, and given his experience in the minor leagues, many around the organization expect him to hit the ground running at the big league level.
