Oakland Athletics Rumors: Slugger Available For Trade

As expected, the Oakland Athletics have had a truly terrible start to the season, sporting a league-worst 8-30 record. As a result, they will be sellers as we inch closer to the deadline, and they are already open to trading Seth Brown because of it.

Brown is currently sidelined due to a strained oblique, but he inching closer to a return. Once he is back in action, it will open the door for Oakland to listen to offers for him more seriously. When noting that Brown has been in the rumor mill since the offseason, this does not come as a much of surprise.

Brown has been limited to only eight games this season, where he has a home run, two RBIs, and a .200 batting. He showed last season that he can be a very effective power hitter, however, as he had 25 home runs in 150 games. Therefore, teams looking for a bit more pop in their lineup should call Oakland about him.

We will need to wait and see where the outfielder/first baseman ends up being moved to from here.
