Oakland A's Rumors: First Baseman Becoming Trade Candidate

As they planned, the Oakland A's are one of the worst teams in all of baseball this season. At the time of this writing, they have a disastrous 8-26 record, and they are naturally set to be sellers at the deadline this year because of it. Due to this, one player who they are expected to listen to trade offers for is Jesus Aguilar.

Aguilar has quietly had a strong start to the 2023 season with the A's. In 27 games, he has five home runs, nine RBIs, and a .263 batting average. The veteran has been showing a nice mixture of power and contact at the plate, and there will be plenty of interest in him at the deadline because of it.

Aguilar is also coming off a 27-home run campaign and had a whopping 46 dingers in 2021. Thus, teams looking for help at first base/DH and needing more power in their lineup should call about the 10-year veteran. Alas, we will need to wait and see if the A's elect to move him from here.
