Detroit Tigers Rumors: 3 Teams Have Starting Pitcher On Their Radar

There are three teams who have suffered devastating injuries to their rotations and, as a result, will need to strengthen this area as the season progresses.

One target these teams are checking in on is Eduardo Rodriguez, who has had a fantastic start to the year with the Detroit Tigers, boasting a shimmering 1.57 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, 47 strikeouts across 51.2 innings, and eight starts.

Here are three teams with Eduardo Rodriguez on their radars:

Houston Astros

The Astros recently lost one of their best starters, Luis Garcia, for the season due to the need for Tommy John surgery. By adding Rodriguez to their rotation, which already features Hunter Brown, Jose Urquidy, Framber Valdez, and Cristian Javier, the Astros would instantly bolster their pitching staff and regain formidable strength.

Seattle Mariners

Similarly, the Mariners are in need of pitching reinforcements after losing their ace, Robbie Ray, for the season due to Tommy John surgery. Currently relying on Chris Flexen as their fifth starter, the Mariners have struggled, evident in Flexen's 7.77 ERA. Adding Rodriguez to a rotation that includes Luis Castillo, George Kirby, Logan Gilbert, and Marco Gonzales would be a significant boost to the team's chances of finding success.

Minnesota Twins

The Minnesota Twins also suffered a blow when their key starter, Tyler Mahle, was ruled out for the season due to Tommy John surgery. Despite a solid start to the season (21-17 and leading the AL Central), the Twins need to add another starter to their rotation to maintain their success. With Pablo Lopez, Joe Ryan, and Sonny Gray as the cornerstones of their rotation, acquiring Rodriguez would be a massive addition for the Twins and solidify their pitching staff.
