Chicago White Sox Rumors: All-Star Catcher Becoming Trade Candidate

The Chicago White Sox have had an extremely disappointing start to the season. At this juncture, they have a 12-23 record and will need to turn things around extremely quickly if they hope to get back into the wild-card race. If they are unable to do so, expect to see Yasmani Grandal on the move before the deadline passes.

Grandal is in the final year of his contract and would be an excellent addition to a playoff team in need of help behind the plate. The two-time All-Star has been off to a solid 2023 season, as he has three home runs, 11 RBIs, and a .275 batting average. As a result, there is no question that the White Sox will receive calls about him if they continue to struggle so much.

It will be intriguing to see what happens with the veteran catcher from here. Teams like the Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Angels, and Pittsburgh Pirates are some clubs to pay attention to in the Grandal sweepstakes.
