Baltimore Orioles Pitcher Suffers New Injury In Return From Surgery

The Baltimore Orioles have been one of baseball's best teams in 2023, as they finally look to make it back to the playoffs for the first time in a number of years, and after plenty of great performances and good news, they've now got some bad news on one of their most important pitchers.

John Means has been a staple at the top of their rotation for a while now, but unfortunately, he had to undergo Tommy John Surgery last April, starting the 2023 campaign on the 60-day IL, but now, he has suffered a back muscle strain which will further that return date into the future.

According to General Manager Mike Elias, the team are still confident they will get him back this season, but it appears now the return time will be pushed to July at the earliest, meaning that if Baltimore want to go on a playoff run, they'll need him to return and hit his strides immediately.
