Baltimore Orioles Rumors: 3 Early-Season Trade Candidates

Welcome to Baseball Rumors' Early-Season Trade Candidates series. During it, we will be looking at three players who are already emerging as trade candidates during the beginning portion of the campaign.

In this latest episode, we will be focusing on the Baltimore Orioles.

Cedric Mullins: Cedric Mullins is the big-name Oriole who fans will need to pay attention to in the rumor mill this season. Although the Orioles took a major step in the right direction last season, the talented outfielder could be moved while his trade value is at its highest. When noting that the Orioles could land a nice return of high-impact prospects and MLB-ready players for him, it is an avenue worth some consideration.

Anthony Santander: Anthony Santander was getting attention on the trade market during the offseason, but a deal did not come to fruition. However, that could very well change this regular season, as he carries plenty of trade value, and they could use him to bring in a strong starting pitcher. With the Orioles' outfield depth being solid, they could afford to move Santander.

Kyle Gibson: If the Orioles take a step back this season and are out of the playoff race as we inch closer to the deadline, Kyle Gibson will surely be dealt. This is because he is only signed for this season, and several teams look to improve their rotation before the postseason. Thus, he will be a player to watch if the Orioles are unable to compete in the deep AL East this year.
