Baltimore Orioles Place Starting Pitcher On 15-Day IL

The Baltimore Orioles have placed pitcher Kyle Bradish on the 15-day injured list due to a right foot contusion, which he sustained during Monday's game against the Texas Rangers after being hit by a line drive.

Although initial X-rays showed no fractures, Bradish is still experiencing discomfort and will undergo further evaluation to determine the extent of the injury.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde had already suggested that Bradish might need to spend some time on the injured list, and it has now been confirmed that he will be sidelined for at least a couple of weeks.

The 26-year-old made his MLB debut last season, recording a 4.90 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, with 111 strikeouts over 117.2 innings and 23 starts.

The team is expected to provide an update on his condition on Tuesday. Photo Credit: Jim Cowsert-USA TODAY Sports
