Video: Japanese TV Call Of Magical Ohtani-Trout WBC Ending

It was a dream ending that couldn't have been scripted any better. The Final of the World Baseball Classic came down to Shohei Ohtani vs Mike Trout. Teammates in the majors, and the two greatest players of this century.

This is how it sounded on Japanese TV:

Yes, they're hyped. And why shouldn't they be? The Ohtani strikeout of Trout ensured that they've got the title of best team in the world for 2023, and the greatest player (though that part didn't need an exclamation point, but got one anyway).

Ohtani's dominance in every aspect of this tournament was mind-blowing.

Japan's (and the Los Angeles Angels', for now) two-way phenomenon threw the fastest pitch in the tournament (102 mph, tied for tops), had the hardest hit ball by exit velocity (118.7 mph) and hit the longest run (448 feet, tied).

The WBC event was the talk of baseball for the past two weeks, featuring some of the highest highs and lowest lows (in the form of devastating injuries), and had a fairytale ending. This one will be talked about for a long time.
