Texas Rangers Rumors: Reliever Being Shopped

The Texas Rangers have big expectations for the 2023 season, as they are hoping that it will finally be the year that they are a playoff team again. As a result of this, they are willing to make changes to their current group, and there have been rumblings that they will listen to offers for Jose Leclerc because of it.

With the Rangers having Brock Burke as a potential closer option, they may look to move Leclerc. This is because he has a good amount of trade value, and he could help land them a player that could improve their roster elsewhere. With that, he is also under team control until after next season, so his trade value is at its highest.

Leclerc appeared in 39 games this past season for the Rangers, where he had a 0-3 record to go along with a 2.83 ERA and seven saves. Overall, it was a solid year for him, so we will need to wait and see how big of a trade market he forms from here.
