Philadelphia Phillies Rumors: Red Sox Infielder On Team's Radar

The Philadelphia Phillies are looking for a new first baseman due to the Rhys Hoskins being out for the entirety of the 2023 season. As a result of this, there are rumblings that they are interested in acquiring Bobby Dalbec from the Boston Red Sox.

The Red Sox have made it known that they are shopping Dalbec, but they have not been able to find him a new home yet. However, with the Phillies now having a major hole at first base, the Red Sox could have their trading partner for the slugger after all.

After a strong 2021 season, Dalbec struggled immensely this past campaign, and now he is not in Boston's starting nine because of it. As a result, a change of scenery is needed, and perhaps the Phillies could be the perfect landing spot for him.

We will now need to wait and see if the Phillies' interest in Dalbec results in them acquiring him from here.
