New York Yankees: 2 Trade Candidates Heading to Opening Day

The New York Yankees have World Series or bust expectations heading into the 2023 season. As a result, there are rumblings that they are looking to make another big move before Opening Day. These two players have emerged in the rumor mill as potential trade targets because of it.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa:
Isiah Kiner-Falefa is reportedly being shopped by the Yankees, as they are ready to roll with Oswald Pereza as their starting shortstop. As a result, they could use IFK as a trade piece to improve their roster elsewhere. Plenty of teams are looking to improve their middle infield, so look for his market to heat up before the regular season is here.

Gleyber Torres: There also has been some buzz over the possibility of the Yankees being interested in moving Gleyber Torres as well. There is no question that there are several teams that would love to add the power-hitting infielder, so the Yankees could flip him if it results in them landing a high-impact outfielder.
