Miami Marlins: 2 Trade Candidates Heading to Opening Day

The Miami Marlins already made a notable move during the offseason when they traded Pablo Lopez to the Minnesota Twins. However, they also have two more pitchers available for the taking. Let's discuss them now.

Edward Cabrera: Edward Cabrera is a Marlins pitcher who Miami is currently listening to offers for. This is because they have a surplus of starters, and they could look to use a young pitcher like Cabrera to help improve their roster elsewhere. However, there is certainly some risk in such a move, as he did sport a 6-4 record and 3.01 ERA in 14 appearances last season for Miami.

Jesus Luzardo: Jesus Lazardo has also come up in trade talks throughout this offseason. Similar to Cabrera, he also could be used to help make the Marlins roster better elsewhere. Some teams that could look to acquire the 25-year-old lefty include the St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals, Cincinnati Reds, and Tampa Bay Rays.
