Colorado Rockies Rumors: Ace Becoming Trade Candidate

The Colorado Rockies are reportedly open to making a major change to their roster, as they are listening to offers for ace pitcher German Marquez.

With the Rockies having low expectations for the 2023 season, it does make sense for them to test Marquez's market. After all, he is inching closer to unrestricted free agency and has a club option for the 2024 campaign. Due to this, it could make sense to move him if it means landing a very good return for their ace.

Marquez had some struggles this past season with the Rockies, as he put together a 9-13 record to go along with a 4.95 ERA. Yet, his ERA was likely inflated due to playing at Coors Field. As a result, there is no question that several teams around the league would love to acquire the one-time All-Star. Some teams to pay attention to in the sweepstakes include the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, and Baltimore Orioles.
