Cleveland Guardians Place Pitcher On Waivers

The Cleveland Guardians have designated pitcher Jason Bilous for assignment, just one month after claiming him off waivers from the Chicago White Sox.

Last season, between Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte, the 25-year-old recorded a 6.30 ERA, 1.74 WHIP, with 131 strikeouts over 105.2 innings of work.

He made 21 starts, 10 relief appearances, and held a 6-11 record.

His control issues have always been one of his biggest problems throughout his career. However, he also averaged an impressive 11.2 K/9 last season.

Bilous is a former 13th-round pick by the White Sox in the 2018 MLB Draft.

There will likely be some teams interested in him.
