Chicago White Sox Sign Left-Handed Pitcher


Headed to Chicago.

The Chicago White Sox have signed pitcher Austin Warner to a minor-league contract.

Warren spent the 2022 season with the Seattle Mariners organization after he was cut loose by the St. Louis Cardinals following the 2021 season.

He compiled a 5.21 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, and 72 strikeouts over 86.1 innings of work with Triple-A Tacoma. He made 12 starts, 21 relief appearances and held a 5-3 record.

The twenty-eight-year-old has yet to make his major-league debut.

For his minor-league career, Warner holds a 4.11 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, with 488 strikeouts over 138 appearances and 505.1 innings.
