Chicago White Sox Rumors: Oakland A's Infielder Becoming Target

The Oakland A’s have been serious sellers since last offseason, and this is expected to continue during this regular season. Due to this, there have been rumblings that they are listening to offers for Tony Kemp, and the Chicago White Sox are reportedly one of the teams aiming to acquire him.

It is not too surprising to hear that the White Sox are considering the prospect of acquiring Kemp. After all, they could use more depth in their middle infield and Kemp would provide them with just that. Furthermore, he also can play the outfield, so he could be a solid utility player for them if acquired.

With the White Sox looking to be a playoff team again, it would not hurt to add a player who has a good amount of experience like Kemp, too. Although he is not a star, he has shown in the past that he can be a reliable and effective player to have, so we will need to wait and see if the White Sox do in fact bring him in – whether that is before Opening Day or at some point during the season.
