BREAKING: Phillies Rhys Hoskins Carted Off Field; Significant Injury Feared

Philadelphia Phillies' first baseman Rhys Hoskins suffered a left knee injury during a Grapefruit League game against the Detroit Tigers on Thursday.

The incident occurred in the top of the second inning when Hoskins fell awkwardly while attempting to chase down a ball hit by Austin Meadows.

The injury appeared to be non-contact as his left knee gave out on him, causing him to immediately fall to the ground in pain.

Hoskins was down for several minutes and eventually carted off the field. The severity of his injury remains unknown, and the Phillies are expected to provide an update soon.

However, this news comes just a week before the Opening Day, and it could be devastating for the team if Hoskins is forced to miss a significant amount of time.
