Atlanta Braves Sign Left-Handed Pitcher

Headed to Atlanta.

The Atlanta Braves have signed pitcher Domingo Robles to a minor-league contract.

Robles played last season with Double-A Springfield, the St. Louis Cardinals' affiliate, recording an ugly 6.14 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, with 70 strikeouts over 110 innings of work. He made 10 starts, 20 relief appearances, converted one save and held a 5-5 record.

The twenty-four-year-old has yet to make his major league debut.

For his minor-league career, Robles holds a pedestrian 4.45 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, with 492 strikeouts over 683.1 innings.

He gives the Braves some added organizational pitching depth.
