Teams vs. Players Final Arbitration Scoreboard


The final tally is in. Teams vs. players in the arbitration game. And while the owners may have won the battles, it seems they lost the war — at least if you go by the hurt feelings of players who've spoken out.

The owners ended up winning 13 arbitration cases, vs. just 6 wins for the players.

The arbitration hearing left deep wounds for the Milwaukee Brewers former Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes, who said, among other things, that his relationship with the team is permanently damaged. 

The St. Louis Cardinals' Ryan Helsley was also disappointed and called some of the things he heard about himself from his front office, "tough to swallow".

Time for baseball to find a new method of sorting out these contract disputes.
