Philadelphia Phillies Sign Pitcher


Joining the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Phillies have signed pitcher Seth Nightingale to a minor-league contract.

The twenty-three-year-old right-handed pitcher played collegiate baseball at the University of Charleston for three seasons and the University of Mount Olive last season, appearing in 40 games and making 11 starts.

For his collegiate career, Nightingale posted a 6.53 ERA, 1.63 WHIP, and 111 strikeouts across 92.1 innings. 

Nightingale possesses a sinker between 93-95 MPH, a cutter between 85-87 MPH, a slider between 80-83 MPH and a changeup between 85-87 MPH.
