Minnesota Twins Add To Their Pitching Depth

The Minnesota Twins have bolstered their cache of arms, signing three hurlers to minor league deals.

Connor Sadzeck, 31, is the only member of the trio who pitched in the majors in 2022, but only three innings' worth. The right-hander did, however, have a nice season at Triple-A, posting a 2.20 ERA with the Milwaukee Brewers’ and the Nationals’ top affiliates.

Tyler Webb, 32, was with the independent Long Island Ducks in 2022, but has pitched a total of 121 innings over five different major league seasons, the last from 2019-21 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He has a career 4.97 ERA, almost exclusively as a reliever.

Sean Nolin is the most veteran of the trio. At 33, he last pitched in the bigs in 2021 with the Washington Nationals, and before that you have to go all the way back to 2015 when he completed a handful of games for the third straight season in the majors. The lefty had had a 4.39 ERA over 26.2 innings with the Nats in 2021. He was out with injuries for the 2016 and 2017 seasons, and has since spent his time in the minors and in independent leagues.
