Milwaukee Brewers Sign Veteran Outfielder

Another free agent name off the board.

The Milwaukee Brewers have signed outfielder Tyler Naquin to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training.

Naquin, who split last season between the Cincinnati Reds and New York Mets, will be competing for a spot on the Brewers' roster as a reserve outfielder.

The thirty-one-year-old finished last year with a .229/.283/.423 slash line, 11 home runs, 46 RBIs, four stolen bases and 47 runs scored over 105 games. If he makes the Opening Day roster, he is likely to serve as a backup outfielder and provide the team with valuable organizational depth.

Naquin had a productive 2021 season, hitting a career-high 19 home runs for the Reds.

Overall, the Brewers' addition of Naquin is a low-risk move that could pay off if he is able to replicate his 2021 performance. Photo Credit:  Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports
