Injury Update On Chicago White Sox Starting Pitcher

He underwent surgery at the end of last season.

Chicago White Sox' starter Michael Kopech is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season.

Kopech underwent right knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee at the end of last season, but he is reportedly on track to be ready for the start of the season.

The White Sox will likely still limit him slightly this spring.

In Kopech's first season as a full-time starter last year, he compiled a 3.54 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, with 105 strikeouts across 119.1 innings and 25 starts.

The twenty-six-year-old really struggled with his free passes last season, however, averaging 4.3 walks per nine innings, so that's something that he'll have to work on.

Still, it was an impressive season for Kopech in his full-time starter role.
