Injury Update On Blue Jays Oft-Injured Pitching Prospect

Could this finally be the season?

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Nate Pearson threw a bullpen session on Monday.

Pearson didn't appear in the majors last season due to various injuries and illnesses, but he looks healthy this spring and is also coming off a strong showing in the Dominican Winter League where he threw 12 scoreless relief innings.

The twenty-six-year former top prospect has really struggled to stay healthy over his career, leading to him making just 17 appearances in the majors thus far.

However, if he can stay healthy this season, Pearson could add some valuable depth to the Blue Jays' bullpen.

For his minor-league career, the hard-throwing righty holds an impressive 2.71 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, with a fantastic 209 strikeouts across 169.1 innings of work.

Pearson was the Blue Jays' first-round pick in the 2017 MLB Draft.
