Detroit Tigers Sign Outfielder

Joining the Detroit Tigers.

The Tigers have signed outfielder DJ Peters to a minor-league contract.

Peters finished last season in the Washington Nationals' organization after spending some time with the Lotte Giants of the Korea Baseball Organization.

The twenty-seven-year-old posted a .197/.242/.422 triple-slash line, with 13 home runs, 38 RBIs, two stolen bases and 29 runs scored over 70 games in 2021, split between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Texas Rangers. It was his only chance in the majors thus far in his career.

He'll look to get another one with the Tigers this season.

Peters is a former fourth-round pick by the Dodgers in the 2016 MLB Draft.
