The White Sox have signed second baseman Nate Mondou to a minor-league contract.

Chicago has made yet another move to add depth at the second base position this offseason.

Mondou got into just one game last season for the Oakland Athletics after slashing a respectable .283/.374/.431, with seven home runs, 64 RBIs, one stolen base and 58 runs scored over 449 plate appearances with Triple-A Las Vegas.

The twenty-seven-year-old is a former 13th-round pick by the Athletics in the 2016 MLB Draft.

Mondou holds a .278 batting average, with 30 home runs, 316 RBIs and 40 stolen bases over his minor league career.

He'll provide additional depth for the White Sox's organization.
