Tampa Bay Rays Sign Pitcher

The Tampa Bay Rays have made a small move, as they have signed Braden Bristo to a minor league contract.

Bristo spent the entirety of the 2022 season with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, where he had a 3-3 record to go along with a 4.56 ERA in 41 games. Overall, it was a year of mixed results for him, but he will be aiming to have a stronger year with the Rays organization from here.

Bristo will provide Tampa Bay with more pitching depth at a minimum. However, if he does well with them during Spring Training, perhaps he could be a dark horse to make their MLB roster for the start of the year. Time will tell if that does indeed occur from here. If so, it will be his first taste of major league action.
