Southpaw Re-Signed By Minnesota Twins

For the 4th straight year, he'll be back in the Minnesota Twins organization. 33-year-old Danny Coulombe has been signed once again to a minor league deal.

The lefty reliever gets an invite to spring training. In small sample sizes over the last three seasons, Coulombe has fared well in the Twins bullpen, posting a combined 2.92 ERA and 1.28 WHIP in 49.1 innings. He's struck out 8.2 batters per nine.

He had previously spent four seasons in the Oakland A's bullpen, where he compiled a 4.06 ERA in 130.2 innings. His career marks over eight major league seasons sit at a 3.92 ERA with a 1.31 WHIP.

This past season in Minnesota, he was off to a decent start, allowing just two runs in 12.2 innings, before a hip injury at the end of May took him out for the rest of the season.

He'll get his 4th shot to stick as a southpaw option in the Twins 'pen in 2023.
