Vladimir Guerrero Jr's Younger Brother Signs With AL Team

The Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero (Sr.) could be adding another offspring to the major leagues in short order. Vladdy Jr's younger brother Pablo has signed on with the Texas Rangers.

Sunday was International Free Agent Signing Day across the majors, and Pablo Guerrero was one of the youngsters who inked a deal.

“A new professional baseball player in the family, congrats to my son Pablo on signing with the Texas Rangers,” wrote papa Vlad on Instagram.

Pablo is now the second of Vlad Sr.'s eight sons to sign a contract with a major league team. The 16-year-old trains in the Dominican Republic with his uncle, another former big leaguer, Wilton Guerrero, Vlad Jr.'s brother.

He has played some third base and outfield, but scouts are projecting him to be a first baseman in the future.

Guerrero Sr. played 16 MLB seasons and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018. He was a nine-time All-Star, and the AL MVP in 2004. He's somewhat familiar with Pablo's new organization, as dad played one season with the Rangers in 2010.
