New York Mets Sign Infielder

The New York Mets have made a depth move, as they have signed Dariel Gomez to a minor league contract.

Gomez spent the entirety of this past season with Single-A+ Everett, where he had 26 home runs, 65 RBIs, and a .222 batting average. Although he struggled for contact, it is clear that he had plenty of success when it came to his power totals, and he will be aiming to continue that moving forward with the Mets organization.

Overall, the Mets simply added to their depth with this move. It will be intriguing to see how much of an impact Gomez makes in the minor leagues for the Mets from here.
