Marlins Infielder Surprisingly Goes Unclaimed On Waivers; Sent Outright

He surprisingly went unclaimed on waivers.

As a result, the Miami Marlins have sent infielder Charles LeBlanc outright to Triple-A Jacksonville.

The twenty-six-year-old slashed a respectable .263/.320/.404 line in his major league debut this past season, with four home runs, 11 RBIs, four stolen bases and 18 runs scored over 48 games played.

He'll remain with the Marlins as valuable organizational depth.

In the minors this past season LeBlanc was impressive as well, slashing .302/.381/.884, with 14 home runs, 45 RBIs, six stolen bases and 47 runs scored over 318 at-bats.

The rookie out of Quebec, Canada, is a former fourth-round pick by the Texas Rangers in the 2016 MLB Draft.
