LA Angels Pitcher Goes Unclaimed On Waivers; Sent Outright

He went unclaimed on waivers.

As a result, the Los Angeles Angels have sent pitcher Austin Warren outright to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Warren had a disappointing 2022 season, recording a poor 5.63 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, and nine strikeouts across 16 innings of work with the Angels.

The twenty-six-year-old fared much better in the minors, however, posting a 2.12 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 30 strikeouts over 34 innings. He made 29 relief appearances, converted one save and held a 2-0 record.

Warren now has a chance to redeem himself in a middle relief role moving forward.

He is a former sixth-round pick by the Angels in the 2018 MLB Draft
