Atlanta Braves Sign Outfielder

Headed to Atlanta.

The Atlanta Braves have signed outfielder Chris Sharpe to a minor-league contract.

Sharpe slashed a not-so-sharp .207/.329/.670 line, with four home runs, 31 RBIs, nine stolen bases and 34 runs scored over 232 at-bats between Double-A Reading and Triple-A Lehigh Valley, the Philadelphia Phillies' minor league affiliates.

The twenty-six-year-old is a former 14th-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2017 MLB Draft.

Sharpe gives the Braves some added outfield depth in the upper minors. He is still looking to make his major-league debut.
