White Sox Bring In 5-Year Veteran Outfielder

The Chicago White Sox have added some depth to their outfield, bringing in former Detroit Tigers outfielder Victor Reyes. It's a minor league contract for the five-year veteran.

Reyes will also get a non-roster invitation to spring training.

Reyes had elected free agency after the Tigers removed him from their 40-man roster last month.

The 28-year-old has spent his entire 5-year career in the majors with the Tigers, posting a .264 average with a .673 OPS. This past season, in 92 games, he hit .254 with a .651 OPS, with 3 HR and 34 RBIs.

He's performed extremely well at the Triple-A level, batting .322 over 109 games.

The White Sox are still pretty barren in the outfield department on the major league roster, and this will not be the only move they make in that area.
