Washington Nationals Sign Pitcher

The Washington Nationals have signed Trevor Williams to a two-year, $13 million contract.

Williams had a strong season with the New York Mets, where he spent time as a reliever and starter. In 30 games total, he sported a 3-5 record but also had a strong 3.21 ERA. After a year like this, it makes sense that he has landed this nice contract with the Nationals. Now, he will be aiming to build off of his strong 2022 season in DC.

Williams should be in the running to make Washington's starting rotation, but he also could be a strong long reliever for the Nationals if needed. Either way, this looks like a good signing on paper.
