Texas Rangers Re-Sign Pitcher

The Texas Rangers have signed Lucas Jacobsen to a minor league contract.

Jacobsen spent this past season in the Rangers system, seeing time in Double-A and Triple-A. In 19 games between the two leagues, he put together a 0-1 record to go along with a solid 2.29 ERA. Overall, the 6-foot-5 lefty was very good when healthy. He will now be aiming to replicate this in 2023.

If Jacobsen continues to perform well in the minors, it could lead to the 27-year-old receiving a chance with the major league club. Alas, time will tell if that comes to fruition from here.
