Seattle Mariners Sign Pitcher

The Seattle Mariners have signed Ryder Ryan to a minor league contract. 

Ryan spent this past season with Triple-A Round Rock, where he had a 5-4 record to go along with a 3.64 ERA in 47 games. Overall, it was a decent year for the 6-foot-2 righty, and now he will be aiming to translate that over to the Mariners organization from here.

Ryan will provide the Mariners with a potential call-up option for when injuries arise. If he continues to trend in the right direction, perhaps he could even compete for a bullpen on their roster as the year carries on.
