San Francisco Giants Sign 3 Players

The San Francisco Giants have signed Ljay Newsome, Ricardo Genoves, and Armando Alvarez to minor league contracts.

At this point of the offseason, it makes sense that the Giants are adding to their depth.

Newsome last appeared in the majors during the 2021 season with the Seattle Mariners, where he had a 1-1 record and 7.98 ERA in seven games. Overall, it is fair to say that he struggled, but now he will be hoping for the chance to redeem himself as a Giant.

Genoves split this past season between Triple-A Sacramento and Double-A Richmond, where he had 10 home runs, 38 RBIs, and a .215 batting average.

Alvarez, on the other hand, spent the entirety of the 2022 campaign with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. In 91 games with the team, he had 18 home runs, 55 RBIs, and a .278 batting average.
