Pittsburgh Pirates Sign Veteran Pitcher

The Pittsburgh Pirates have made a move, as they have signed Tyler Chatwood to a minor league contract.

Chatwood is looking to get back into the majors for the first time since the 2021 season. The 10-year veteran appeared in 32 games between the Toronto Blue Jays and San Francisco Giants that campaign, where he had a 1-3 record to go along with a 5.63 ERA. Now, he will be aiming to get back into the majors and rebound in 2023 as a Pirate.

With this move, the Pirates have added to their pitching depth at a minimum. However, if Chatwood can make Pittsburgh's roster and do well in the process, this could be a decent under-the-radar signing for them.
